Looking to launch your career in manufacturing? We’re seeking a motivated Shop Technician to join our fabrication team. This is an excellent opportunity for recent vocational or technical school graduates—or anyone mechanically inclined who enjoys working with their hands—to gain valuable experience in a modern manufacturing environment.
You’ll work alongside experienced fabricators, welders, and engineers while learning the skills needed to build precision components used in cutting-edge products.
Position Details
- Schedule: 1st Shift
- Flexible Start Time: Between 7:00 AM – 9:00 AM
- 8-Hour Shift
- Pay: Starting around $20.00 per hour
What You’ll Do
- Assist with the fabrication and assembly of metal components.
- Prepare materials for fabrication using saws, grinders, and other shop equipment.
- Support experienced welders and fabricators with day-to-day projects.
- Read basic drawings and work instructions.
- Perform measuring, cutting, deburring, and light machining tasks.
- Help organize materials and maintain shop inventory.
- Inspect completed parts using basic measuring tools.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Learn new fabrication techniques through hands-on training and mentorship.
What We’re Looking For
- Mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn.
- Recent graduate of a vocational or technical school is highly encouraged to apply.
- Previous manufacturing, shop, automotive, construction, or hands-on experience is a plus—but not required.
- Ability to read a tape measure and use basic hand tools.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
- Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on your feet throughout the day.
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical school coursework in welding, machining, manufacturing, metal fabrication, or a related trade.
- Exposure to MIG or TIG welding.
- Familiarity with shop equipment and measuring tools.
- Experience using hand and power tools.
