Senior CNC Machinist

Location: Wilmington, MA
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
Flex Hours: Available once fully trained
Salary: $80,000–$90,000 per year, depending on experience

Position Summary

FootBridge is seeking an experienced Senior CNC Machinist with 15+ years of machining experience to join a skilled manufacturing team in Wilmington, MA.

This position is ideal for a highly experienced machinist who can independently machine precision parts from engineering drawings, collaborate with Engineering on manufacturing methods, and provide hands-on support to Assembly and Service teams when modifications or quick-turn parts are needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Machine precision parts according to engineering drawings, specifications, and production schedules.
• Work closely with Engineering to review drawings and recommend the most effective manufacturing methods.
• Support Assembly and Service Technicians with quick-turnaround part modifications and machining needs.
• Work with Purchasing to maintain appropriate minimum stock levels for raw materials, tooling, and machining supplies.
• Perform machining setups, production runs, modifications, and troubleshooting as needed.
• Identify opportunities to improve machining processes, efficiency, and quality.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Experience & Skills

• 15+ years of CNC machining experience.
• Strong experience with both low- and high-volume CNC manufacturing.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Strong understanding of machining processes and manufacturing methods.
• Experience with hard and soft milling techniques.
• Experience programming CNC machines using CAM software.
• ESPRIT CAM experience preferred.
• DMG machine experience preferred.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with Engineering, Assembly, Service, and Purchasing teams.

Compensation & Schedule

• $80,000–$90,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
• Standard hours are Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM.
• Flex hours may be available once fully trained, allowing employees to adjust their schedule by starting earlier or staying later on certain days to accommodate personal commitments and work-life needs, while meeting business requirements.
