Property Condition Assessment Consultant
Title: Building Enclosure Architect or Professional Engineer – Property Condition Assessments
Location: Chicago. IL (hybrid)
Duration: Direct Hire / Permanent
Pay: $80,000 – $130,000
Essential Roles and Responsibilities:
- Lead and support a safe and productive working environment, emphasizing safety practices and a culture of continuous improvement.
- Manage and consult on complex building enclosure and facility projects, providing expertise to project teams.
- Oversee building diagnostics, including assessments of roofing, facades, waterproofing, moisture intrusion, and other building envelope systems.
- Develop, review, and peer review construction documents, including those for roof replacement, façade refurbishments, and building enclosure remediation.
- Collaborate with architects and contractors to create technical details for building envelope assemblies.
- Perform technical tasks related to building enclosure commissioning, ensuring design accuracy and compliance.
- Write professional reports with clear technical recommendations and ideas.
- Drive business growth by developing relationships with new and existing clients and contributing to marketing strategies.
- Mentor and supervise less experienced professionals in building enclosure services.
- Manage client relationships to secure additional work and foster new business opportunities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture and 5+ years of industry experience.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable violation history.
Preferred:
- Professional licensure as an Architect (RA) or Engineer (PE).
- Expertise in building enclosure systems, energy-efficient design, and building restoration.
