Project Engineer – Water Resources / Modeling
Locations: Lakeland or Orlando or Tampa, Florida / Hybrid
Position Type: Full-Time/Direct Hire
Salary: $100K-$120K, DPOE

We are seeking an experienced Water Resources Engineer / Modeler to lead stormwater and drainage modeling projects across Florida. This role involves hydrologic and hydraulic modeling for municipal drainage, roadway improvements, and watershed planning.

Responsibilities:

Develop, calibrate, and apply H&H models using tools like ICPR, SWMM, and HEC-RAS.
Prepare drainage reports, stormwater studies, and project documentation.
Conduct QA/QC and mentor junior engineers.
Coordinate with regulatory agencies for permitting and approvals.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering.
6+ years of experience in water resources modeling, preferably in Florida.
Proficiency in ICPR, SWMM, HEC-RAS, and ArcGIS.
PE license in Florida

Preferred: Master’s degree, 10+ years’ experience, and Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM).
