Role: Operations Manager
Location: Wichita, KS
Salary: 130,000 – 150,000 + bonus
Duration: Permanent/Direct Hire
A growing engineering and consulting firm is seeking an experienced leader to oversee operations across two Kansas offices and manage a multidisciplinary team specializing in geotechnical engineering, environmental consulting, and construction materials testing.
This is a high-visibility leadership opportunity with a defined path to Principal-level leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Lead daily operations, staffing, and financial performance for two offices
Oversee geotechnical, environmental, and CMT service lines
Manage P&L, budgeting, project performance, and resource planning
Mentor and develop project managers, engineers, geologists, and field staff
Drive business development and strengthen client relationships
Ensure excellence in safety, quality, and project delivery
What We’re Looking For
Background in geotechnical engineering, environmental consulting, or construction materials testing
Leadership experience managing teams, operations, or business units
Strong understanding of consulting operations, project management, and client development
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, Construction Management, or related field preferred
