We are seeking a Mechanical Systems Engineer to support the design, development, integration, and verification of complex mechanical systems for high-consequence engineering programs. This role will support projects from requirements development through manufacturing, testing, and validation in highly regulated environments.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage system and subsystem requirements
- Support system architecture, integration, verification, and validation activities
- Conduct engineering trade studies, design reviews, and readiness reviews
- Prepare technical specifications and engineering documentation
- Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, suppliers, and cross-functional teams
- Support customer-facing technical discussions and presentations
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field
- 7+ years of experience supporting systems engineering and/or mechanical engineering supporting complex hardware programs
- Strong background in verification & validation (V&V), DFM/DFA, and requirements management
- Hands-on experience with MBSE and Cameo Systems Modeler required
- Experience supporting government, defense, nuclear, aerospace, or other safety-critical programs
- Exposure to ASME, NQA-1, or PLC systems is a plus
- Must be eligible to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance
