Material Handler – 1st Shift
A growing organization in Worcester, MA is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Material Handler to support daily shipping, receiving, stocking, and warehouse operations. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys physical, hands-on work and has experience supporting international shipments in a fast-paced environment.

Position Details
Location: Worcester, MA
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour

Position Summary
The Material Handler is responsible for moving, organizing, packing, and preparing materials for shipment while maintaining an accurate and efficient warehouse operation. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to meet deadlines, and previous experience supporting international shipping.
Experience using barcode scanners or warehouse management systems is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities

• Transport freight, stock, and materials by hand or with pallet jacks.
• Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Sort, organize, and stage materials before loading or unloading.
• Check, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment.
• Support international shipping processes and documentation.
• Use bracing, padding, and strapping to prevent product damage during transportation.
• Transfer materials between receiving, storage areas, production areas, and shipping docks.
• Label and mark containers with accurate identifying information.
• Stack and organize cargo using pallets or cargo boards.
• Restock warehouse shelves and maintain an adequate supply of packing materials.
• Use handheld scanners and warehouse management systems to track inventory and material movement.
• Complete production sheets, work tickets, and related warehouse documentation.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Perform additional warehouse duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience with international shipping required.
• At least 0–1 year of warehouse, shipping, receiving, or material handling experience.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Comfortable using handheld scanners and warehouse management systems.
• Ability to meet daily productivity goals and shipping deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work effectively as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 60 pounds.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to bend, climb, balance, stoop, and perform repetitive physical tasks.
• Comfortable working in warehouse areas that may not be climate controlled.
• Ability to work around heat, dust, and common warehouse hazards.
