Role: Manager of Engineering – Transmission
Salary: $120,000 – $160,000, DPOE
Location: Orlando, FL or Tampa, FL
Duration: Permanent/Direct-Hire
Lead, grow, and inspire high-performing engineering teams delivering innovative, cost-effective transmission line solutions. In this senior leadership role, you’ll oversee transmission engineering operations in your region, drive business growth, and ensure projects are delivered with the highest technical quality, on time, and within budget.
What You’ll Do
Manage and develop engineering teams, fostering technical excellence and professional growth.
Lead business development initiatives to expand regional market share and deepen client relationships.
Provide project oversight, ensuring adherence to technical standards, scope, budget, and schedule.
Oversee transmission line design activities, quality assurance, and quality control.
Collaborate directly with clients, building and maintaining trusted, long-term partnerships.
Identify opportunities for innovation in processes, tools, and design methods.
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (required) and Professional Engineer (PE) license.
15+ years of experience in transmission engineering—either consulting or utility-side.
Proven project management skills and ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.
Strong understanding of scope, schedule, and budget management in engineering projects.
Exceptional communication, leadership, and client relationship skills.
Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment.
