Overview
Our client is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support engineering and design activities on high-voltage substation and power delivery infrastructure projects. This role works within a collaborative engineering team responsible for developing detailed design packages for electrical infrastructure supporting large-scale utility and industrial facilities.
The position offers the opportunity to work with experienced engineers on complex electrical systems while contributing to engineering design, technical documentation, and project execution.
Hybrid work arrangements are available, with engineers expected to work from a nearby office several days per week.

Responsibilities

• Support engineering design activities for high-voltage substation projects
• Assist with project planning, engineering analysis, and technical problem solving
• Prepare engineering reports and technical documentation
• Review electrical design drawings and project deliverables
• Support development of substation engineering packages including diagrams and layouts
• Track project tasks, schedules, and engineering deliverables
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and designers across multiple disciplines
• Participate in technical knowledge sharing and engineering collaboration initiatives
• Occasional travel to project sites may be required

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
• 3-5+ years of experience supporting electrical power system design
• Experience working with medium or high voltage electrical infrastructure
• Ability to manage multiple engineering assignments and deadlines
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience reviewing engineering drawings and design documentation
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
• AutoCAD experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Electrical Engineering degree
• Experience supporting high voltage substation design projects
• Familiarity with industry engineering standards such as ANSI, IEEE, and NESC
• Experience supporting engineering calculations related to electrical infrastructure
• Professional Engineer license is a plus
