Custodian / Facilities Maintenance

Location: Beverly, MA
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
Pay: $20–$24 per hour, depending on experience

Job Summary

A well-established manufacturing company in Beverly, MA is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Custodian to join its team. This position is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly facility, including manufacturing areas, offices, restrooms, break rooms, and common spaces.

The ideal candidate is reliable, takes pride in their work, can work independently, and is comfortable following a regular cleaning and maintenance schedule.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain manufacturing areas, offices, restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and maintain floors and other surfaces.
• Perform floor care, including waxing as needed.
• Empty trash and recycling throughout the facility.
• Keep restrooms and break rooms clean, stocked, and sanitary.
• Maintain cleanliness of building entrances and other high-traffic areas.
• Assist with general facility upkeep and organization.
• Help maintain exterior areas, including keeping entrances and parking areas free of trash and debris.
• Water and maintain plants and other basic landscaping needs as needed.
• Assist with seasonal maintenance, including snow removal.
• Follow established cleaning schedules and safety procedures.
• Properly use and maintain cleaning supplies, equipment, and tools.
• Report maintenance, safety, or facility issues to management.
• Work independently while maintaining consistent standards of cleanliness and safety.

Qualifications

• Previous custodial, janitorial, facilities, or general maintenance experience preferred.
• Must be reliable, dependable, and able to work independently.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean environment.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to manage time effectively and complete assigned tasks according to schedule.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Must be comfortable standing, walking, bending, reaching, and performing physical cleaning duties throughout the workday.
• Ability to work safely around cleaning products and equipment.
• Must meet applicable U.S. Person requirements for the position.
