Title: Construction Inspector 
Location: Southborough, MA
Pay Range: $50 – 58/hr 
Duration: 3 Months
Expected work schedule: Mon – Fri 40 hours per week
 
We are in need of a Construction Inspector to oversee a water and sewer line construction project in Southborough, MA. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Activities shall include, but will not be limited to, the following:
  • Review contract documents (plans, specifications, etc.)
  • Observe the contractor’s progress in fulfilling his/her obligations under the contract
  • Maintain files and records for use in preparing record drawings
  • Prepare digital daily reports to summarize construction and installation work including information, photos and data regarding equipment, personnel, materials, and other indicators of construction progress
  • Take notes/ties in field book and photo documentation of construction activities
  • Measure the quantity of work for the contractor’s monthly and final payment estimates
  • Review schedules (work, shop drawings, samples, etc.)
  • Attend meetings with contractor, engineer, and client
  • Record and report problems and/or the contractor’s failure to comply with contract documents
REQUIREMENTS:
  • The inspector shall have 7+ years construction oversight experience in the water, sewer, or stormwater industries.
