Role: Civil Site Designer – Residential & Commercial Projects
Location: Raleigh, NC
Salary: $95,000 – $125,000 (Negotiable, DOE) + Benefits
Duration: Permanent
A growing engineering firm in Raleigh, NC is seeking an experienced Civil Site Designer for a full-time role supporting residential and commercial development projects. This is a great opportunity for a motivated CAD professional to work on a wide variety of site development tasks including layout, grading, stormwater, utilities, and permitting.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare construction documents for land development projects
Design grading, drainage, water/sewer, and erosion control plans using Civil 3D
Perform earthwork calculations, mass grading, and roadway alignments
Assist with permitting and ensure compliance with local codes
Support subdivision layouts, quantity takeoffs, and coordination with project teams
Qualifications:
5–10 years of civil site/CAD design experience
Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D (2018 or newer)
A.A.S. or Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering or related field
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple projects independently
Bonus Skills:
E.I. or P.E. license (a plus, not required)
Experience working with clients or municipalities
